Austin,
I was out of town for most of last week and traded for the first time
today. I traded a WD on the TF at 12:07. I entered short at 564.00 and
exited at 559.00 for a 5 point gain. I know it went lower, but I wanted
to book a nice gain and had to return to work at my business. This trade
was taken on my own after applying what I learned in your seminar and
not part of your live room.
Just wanted to give you some feedback about the results so far from your seminar. Very, very pleased.

I can't thank you enough for
the all the live online work shops and recorded video that you
have produced over the last few months. They are all fantastic

Dear Austin,
Watching you perform in the live room yesterday was a real eye-opener. How you measured the market on live charts, narrating and calling what comes next in real time was amazing. But todays struggle with chop markets was ten times more important to me. On a day where I usually give up a week or entire months gain, I watched you preserve capital and nix losses all through. Definitely got my moneys worth out of your course already. For sure. Cordially,

I have been trading oil and natty futures for past two years with decent success. Your seminar this weekend and introduction of [withheld] patterns has been absolutely amazing. Your recent "volatility" article [TradingMarkets.com] nailed it right on the head. From one professional to another, thank you for publishing an accurate article regarding current market cycles, and context. Austin,
Words cannot describe how thankful I am to
have found you. The past three days have been profitable... which would have
never happened before. In the past I would fight trend moves, fading each
pause hoping (praying) for a turn. Most often it never came.
This week I followed the TB (TrendBender) strictly and held myself away from trying to time turns. It worked! For the first time in a long time I found myself trading with the market instead of against it. Believe me, this is 180 degrees opposite what my failed follies had been. Cannot thank you enough. Look forward to the weekend information when posted online. Take care! Blessings From: T@aol.com Austin, Looking forward to the weekend seminar... icing on the cake T From: C <d@msn.com>

Hello Austin,
Firstly, many hanks for introducing other markets. You mentioned in your public video but that's really right. I had such a hard time with ES over the summer but CL/S etc are like night and day. TF are fun too... (Editor's Note: this email feedback is from a long-time successful stock trader and manager who is now working into the futures trading arena)
From: L <l@tampabay.rr.com>
Hi Austin,
Not exactly a newbie and certainly someone with a healthy amount of skepticism.
I’m also one that has learned the hard way over time that trading can be
accomplished successfully by individuals (toughest lesson I had to learn was
difference between trading with firm’s money versus my own) but that it does
take a systematic approach without question. Could spew out a bunch of
accolades, but the highest praise I can give you is “thanks,” and I look forward
to being a part of your group. From: B <b@hotmail.com>
Austin,
Incredible job of breaking down price behavior to the nth degree last night. It amazes me how you take apart price patterns & bars to see what's going on inside. Reminds me of a master mechanic at work <grin> Head up on this one: you need to check out CL on a 200-tick frame chart. I've been trading that for a couple weeks now, since the time you first talked about oil futures. Best day ever today... +210 cents on six trades total. Most days are somewhere between 50 cents and 100 cents profit per contract. I trade the <withheld> patterns and use <withheld> on pullbacks and breakouts as you taught. Excellent "scalpers" market... absolutely shames the ES for potential. I laugh when I read where guys are giddy about grabbing 2pts ES when I'm gobbling up $250 and $500 turns in the CL left & right. See you in the workshop
From: F <f@gmail.com> I wanted to let you know I enjoyed the most recent public video and the many others prior to it. I appreciate the openness with which you share your journey as a trader and your willingness to make adjustments as needed while sharing the reasons for the adjustments you make. I also believe your teaching approach and information has improved greatly in recent times, more succinct, clear and follows a pattern of progressive elaboration. Over the years you have validated many things I discovered for myself and helped me through all the hype and clutter produced on the internet, books, etc. I’ve learned new things and overall been helped to focus on the important aspects of trading, minimizing the clutter and the need to keep things simple. Although, I’ve chosen to continue my professional job and trade off hours part-time, I still enjoy following your posts and videos very much and will continue to do so as long are you’re willing to share. Thank you for the encouragement and allowing us to follow and benefit from your journey. Whatever you decide is best for you next year we will understand and I wish you the best. I for one am hoping you’ll continue with some form of a member forum. I also appreciate your honesty. There’s not much of this left in this world. I understand others caring only about the information you share and the profits they make. However, being a good mentor goes beyond just technical information sharing but giving of one’s self. I think you do a great job at this and believe there are many of us that feel a kinship with you. Thanks again. F RV r@yahoo.com
Hi Austin:
Thanks for your blog entries the last couple of days. They opened my mind to trading the grain futures--lots of great opportunity every day there! FYI--Here's a link to the latest CME monthly grain trading summary report: http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/commodities/files/magu.pdf Check out the monthly historical volatility charts for corn, wheat and soybeans on pages 10 and 11! Wow these markets really move every day! With ticks at the same value as the emini S&P 500, they are like an ES contract that actually moves every day! And the margins are low too. I never would of looked at these markets except for you opening my eyes to them--so thanks again! RV PS--I've also been trading the Japanese Yen contract. It really trends and very smoothly too. It's been like a breath of fresh air after staring at ES charts going nowhere the last few months! About time you joined us in the grains! I've been trading corn for two years and now recently soybeans with consistent success. Haven't got rich yet, but I haven't had a losing month during that spell either. Can you and your emini buddies claim that? [lol] Seriously though, it was John Carter's coverage on grains but especially your workshop lessons back in 2007 that got me hooked. I've traded everything under the sun (including forex) and nothing moves straight and smooth like grain futures. Like I've been telling you all along, the TrendBender hits every turn. From: <withheld> Austin, You can use this email in your website but please delete all personal information. I have a confession to make: I was once a vocal critic inside www.<"bitchfest">.com forum. You would know me there as <withheld>. Even though I went along with the "trolls" (your label) there and thought it was right thing to do, the back of my mind wondered what if I was wrong. After struggling as a trader to keep my head just below water (have not been profitable yet) I read enough of your blog, newsletter and videos to discuss it with my wife. As you know she advised me to do what I felt best and not worry about what others had to say. I joined your two-day workshop with every intent of asking for my refund at end of first day. When the end of that day came, I knew being here was the right choice. Your coverage of pure price action, what to look for and why is unmatched anywhere. This coming from someone who was one of <withheld> biggest followers and part of his private room. Believe me, that is saying much. Your seminar video package is more than as advertised. The member's website is just as solid. Even the free newsletter is more informative than many vendor's sold subscriptions. Your information is legit, you practice what you preach and I appreciate being part of that. Don't let the "haters" get you down (lol) Trade Well From: <withheld>
Austin,
I know you are inundated with emails. I
hope another with words of thanks is not a burden. Thank you for
addressing my struggles in the Tuesday 9/01 client site video; you
nailed it! I am still focusing on the YM but with a "slower" chart.
Although I didn’t mention it, I was and do use a five minute filter
chart.
However, the 8/30 Workshop video really
provided great insight on HOW to use the 5-minute
filter; what an eye opener. No where else have I found cogent
explanations of the dynamics driving price action; that knowledge is
"priceless."
And last but not at all least, your words of encouragement and empathy go a long way to sustaining me through this phase of the learning process.

Great show, man! You clearly know your stuff... the first day info covering (withheld) and (withheld) fractal patterns was more than enough in itself. The second day blew my mind ;) Your true calling in this field might be trader psychology. Have you ever thought about writing a book? It would be a best-seller hit for sure. If you sometimes wonder why there were few questions at the end of each module, it's because you explained things so well going along. The information delivered is incredible. Simply incredible. I say that as someone who signed up with intent to sit thru first half and request a refund. I signed up intending to see one more failed trader stumbling thru a feeble attempt to impress me. Instead I was the one surprised and impressed. Having been thru more programs, systems and particularly seminar events, I have seen it all. Yours is the first one, ever, that left me overwhelmed. Austin,
Just a quick note to say that I REALLY appreciate your taking
the time to present the macro view of various futures contracts,
it's a real eye opener. I'm beginning to think that swing
trading may be more appropriate in my current situation (still
working), and the macro view is what I need to focus on. When
all you look at is a 5 minute chart you tend to lose sight of
the big picture. I am impressed by your ability to look at a
daily chart (or any chart for that matter) and pick out the
historical points of congestion that become support or
resistance. Perhaps that is a skill I will acquire at some point
in the future. Overall I am very pleased that I signed up for
your education program. Attending your workshops and listening
to your training videos is the next best thing to having a

good work and I hope to be a member for may years to come.

Hi Austin,
Have been a paid member to your educational service for a
couple of months now. Just wanted to let you know how much I
am enjoying the methods you have outlined. I have looked at
several other ways to trade and yours, for 'newbies' like
me, seems to have switched a bit of a light on. What I have
really enjoyed is the simplicity of your style of trading.
The whole 'less is more' approach rings a bell for me.
With other approaches I have found myself dying with
'analysis paralysis'. This was certainly helping my trading
account, until my wife pointed out that balances going down
was not the aim!
While I have not got there yet, I really feel that my
journey is on the right path. I noted on your site somewhere
the quote " If God brings you to it, he will bring you
through it" That resonates with my situation in a big way.
Thanks for the encouragement.
You are an overly generous person with your time (to sit in
the Live Room all day, for our benefit, when the market is
boring as all heck). You give, what I see as valuable
information, away freely to non paying members via your free
newsletter service. Your blog regularly has important trader
insights that will take years of my learning curve.
Looking forward to continuing to work with you in the

I just wanted to write and let you know how much I have enjoyed your
recent enhancements to the method. I also read with interest the email
you posted on your recent video. I want to say that in the time I have
worked with you, I have learned many things from you and about you. One
is that your method works and another is that you are one of the most
honest people I have ever known.
I have also learned that trading is only about 20% method and 80%
attitude. It took me a few months to learn the method and a few years to
learn the right attitude (you also teach that very well).
BTW I took two trades this morning in the TF: long stopped out at par

Thanks for everything From: E <e@gmail.com> Subject: Re: TickReverse To: austinp44@yahoo.com Date: Friday, April 18, 2009, 8:11 PM
Austin... your latest additional tools have been
an absolute God-send. Thank You THANK YOU for that!!!
Instead of me fighting the trend swings like I did my whole career before I actually find myself tagging along for the rides - much more fun watching price run away in my favor than the wrong way. I followed your videos for a year, been burned before by vendors and hesitated many times before taking you up on the offer. Wish I had joined long ago, but better late than never! Looking forward to Monday From: B <wm@hmlpc.com>
Austin,
I really
enjoyed the workshop last night, it's great to hear your thoughts and
ideas. I particularly appreciated your last minute comments on trading the
TF. I made 8 handles yesterday but it can be a challenge. I was protecting
my gains so stayed out of the short opportunity late in the day...

Good Evening
Austin,
I know you lament dull trading days, but don't you find some excellent setups for tickrev method? Both Thursday and Friday yielded ten points ES profit on <withheld> pattern setups before noon. I only trade the first half of sessions, have business obligations here on the west coast. Trading 5am pt (before tick index opens) to 8am pt is my only five-hour slot until I retire. From the look of what you've put together here, that may be sooner than I planned on. Thank you for everything provided, it is far above and beyond my initial expectations. Sincerely, From: T <h@usamedia.tv>
Austin,
Hope you're having a good....yesterday was
good!
For your clients wanting to use $TICK with
Ninja...here's some info that may be useful.
You have to pick a data provider that has
"zero based" data for $TICK. Otherwise, you won't be able to draw the lines
at zero, 800, 1000, etc.
eSignal's data is zero based and it
costs $50/month.
I've included a screen shot showing how I've
use $TICK underneath my 1 min chart on the left monitor. It's not as
convenient as a "regular" indicator on the chart, but it works fine.
Have a good week.

Hey Austin,
Just wanted to let you know I'm really diggin'
this TICK program. It's very "comfortable" to trade. Took two NQ trades this
morning (2 contracts) and booked 11.75 points as shown in attached
chart. Then left to go fishing for the day. Thanks for all your teaching
efforts. Appreciate you.

From: DL <d@roadrunner.com> Austin, I was in your TR classes this past week. I have been using the method effectively, with consistent profits each day this week after applying the concept. I have modified the TICK bars to amplify the TICK spikes. I have also added a directional XMA and a custom oscillator called JMA DIFF (based on the Jurik Moving Average) The attached screen shots from Friday 3/13. The price graph has JMAD on the highs and lows of TICK. The third sub-graph displays JMAD on the close of the ES price bars. I get excellent (signals) off the JMAD as well as the extended TICK bars.
Thanks for sharing
your method – it gave me some ideas to significantly improve my method.
